Tops Of 2006: Working List
Like most music snobs (and journalists), I always make a year-end list of what I believe to be the top albums from each year. It's a tradition that I've been undertaking for the past six years; I love making preliminary lists, going through my reviews from earlier in the year, and getting back in touch with music that I might not have listened to for months.
I tend to make a gigantic list of all of my favorite albums and then work from there. This is not an easy process, as I'm a genuine music junkie (ask any of my friends and they'll confirm my sickness) and so I inevitably spend hours poring through my list, listening to entire albums, numbering and re-ordering the albums until I should be sick of it but I'm not because I love the process. My year-end Top Twenty Albums listing is something constant, one of the few habits I still carry along from my pre-Army days.
This post will be my working list of my favorite albums of 2006. They are in no particular order, and an album being placed higher on the list than another should not indicate that I enjoy it more. I'm just adding the albums to this list as I think of them, and I'll be ordering them starting around the middle of November or so.
This list might get a bit unwieldy, so I apologize if it causes the rest of my voxlog to load slower than usual.

well, it's winding down slowly but surely. I am sub-month now and the days can't go by quick enough for anyone anymore. The conditions are insane, the wife is growing ever so anxious and about to head down to texas in preperation. I don'thave flight details yet, but I will soon. I would have to say thank you for the desire to come in and welcome me but I think you undertand the desire to have just my wife. We're making a quick exit of the gym and Killeen. I need a break from uncle sam in a big way. I will call once I'm back and relatively settled and we'll do chili's like the old days. Take care of the guys as they get back and keep an open eye out.
